![]() ![]() Other programs may only show the menu when the mouse pointer is moved to the top of the screen or when scrolling up. With these programs, press the Alt or F10 any time you want to open the file menu. Some programs may also hide the file menu to keep the interface clean. To hide the Menu Bar, navigate to System Preferences -> Dock & Menu Bar -> Automatically Hide and Show the Menu Bar on Desktop. For these programs, you'll need to use the alternative menu system. Other programs may use a hamburger menu, kebab menu (e.g., Chrome), or meatballs menu (e.g., Edge) to access the programs features. Go to the Menu Bar Only section on the right, click the pop-up menu next to VPN, then do one of the following: Show the VPN status icon: Choose Show in. Add an AirPort menu extra System Preferences. (You may need to scroll down.) Open Control Centre settings for me. In the Finder, go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras and double-click on the nu folder. For example, in new Office programs instead of a file menu it uses the Ribbon. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Control Centre in the sidebar.
